Waste SBS soles can be recycled and used at a moderate cost. The sole pattern can be a semi-transparent beef bottom or a colorful two-tone sole, or a foamed sole. The cheap integral molded canvas shoes made of SBS are 15-25% lighter than PVC shoes and have a 30% higher coefficient of friction, and have excellent abrasion resistance and low temperature flexibility. SBS has these excellent properties, making it widely used in the footwear industry. China is the world's largest producer of footwear products and the largest consumer market for footwear products. In a certain period of time, the footwear market will continue to be the main target market for domestic SBS. After China's accession to the WTO, the export quota for footwear will be abolished and the export advantages will be fully utilized. In order to eliminate the imbalance in the development of the eastern and western regions, the state has begun to increase investment in the western region in order to accelerate its economic development. The application of thermoplastic elastomer TPR/TPE in asphalt modification: The application of SBS in asphalt modification includes the modification of waterproof membrane asphalt and the modification of road asphalt. In 2003, the consumption of SBS in polymer modification in China was about 16,500 tons. It is estimated that by 2003-2008, the application of polymer modified SBS products in China will grow at a rate of more than 20% and will reach a level of 45,000 tons by 2008.


Thermoplastic elastomer TPR/TPE in the application of the adhesive: Because SBS has good solubility in hydrocarbon solvents, fast dissolution, good stability, strong cohesion, avoiding the harm of human health with aromatic hydrocarbon solvents. In addition to the good elasticity, adhesive strength and low temperature performance of SBS adhesive, its low viscosity and creep resistance are better than those of general EVA and acrylic adhesives, and it has been widely used in daily life. It can be used in the production of shoe adhesives, metallurgical powder molding agents, silicone adhesives, wood quick-drying adhesives, labels, adhesive tapes, disposable sanitary products, laminating adhesives, sealants and hooks. In addition, SBS can also be used in cement processing, automotive manufacturing and interior decoration, as well as the manufacture of various hoses for light oil, medical devices, household appliances, pipe strips, and wire and cable.
