The use of environmental plasticizers

- May 30, 2018 -

Environmental plasticizers refer to plasticizers that do not contain o-benzene. Good quality environmental plasticizers are colorless, odorless, and non-toxic, and can be used in sensitive applications such as medical equipment, food packaging, and children's toys. Such as DINCH produced by BASF in Germany and TXIB in Eastman USA

Environmental plasticizers (citrate esters) are non-du plasticizers that are popular in foreign countries and are used for environmental plasticizers. They are certified by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as non-duplasticizers that can be used for food packaging. Acetyl tributyl citrate is less toxic than tributyl citrate in terms of rat intake, and environmental plasticizers, both of which can be added to foods. This product as a plasticizer, has strong solubility, oil resistance, light resistance, and has a good anti-mold. It has good compatibility with most cellulose, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and chlorinated rubber, and is mainly used as a plasticizer for cellulose resins and vinyl resins. In addition, due to its strong anti-mildew properties, it can also play the role of internal plasticizers and anti-mould agents in the paint production process. After polyvinyl chloride is plasticized, the manufacturers of environmental plasticizers have the advantages of good low-temperature flexing performance, heat-stability when melted, and no discoloration. At the same time, it is also widely used in food packaging, medical equipment, children's toys, personal hygiene products, PVC granulation, silicone plastic products, PVC environmental plasticizers, cigarette filters and so on. Because it is basically odorless, it can also be used for sensitive dairy packaging, beverage stoppers, and bottled food seals, etc. From a safety point of view, it is more suitable for soft children's toys.
